Do you want to know how many times you have been “@” on twitter? There is a new site called twitter search that will allow you to search all the twitters in the world to find just how many times you have had replies. It is pretty cool.
I did a search for “thedomesticdiva” and got 554 @replies. Pretty neat stuff. Love you tweeples!!!

Some of you may have read on my Mommy Blog that I am going on this HUGE “secret trip” starting tomorrow. I have been packing and getting all of my things together so that I can hopefully board a plane in some sort of style.
I am currently in the middle of downloading a movie from iTunes to upload to my ipod touch to watch on the flight over. I am frantically trying to find some descent outfits to wear to the events that I will be attending and in all honesty I have no idea what to pack.
The countdown to freaking out has begun. Follow me on twitter, flickr, and my personal blog the rest of the week to get all of the up to the date information on my “secret trip”.
You see that little bad boy that I’ve got holding in my hand? Yes, the iPod Touch is my life saver. It allows me to jot down quick blog ideas while I’m on the go, keep a running shopping list, stay up to date on my podcasts, and keeps me in tune with my e-mails wherever I am on the go. Being an internet celebrity is hard work, you gotta stay “connected” all the time. So that is why I think it is so important to invest in an iPod touch or an iPhone.
They really are beautiful little things, aren’t they? I <3 apple!!!
I recently saw the movie Dan in Real Life. At first judging by the commercial I thought it would be a good comedy. Well, not so much. The movie was actually very depressing and gloomy.
This is not a comedy! Trust me, you will feel down and out by the time you reach the end of the movie even though it was a sort of happy ending that is if you call stealing your brothers girlfriend a happy ending.
Yes you read it right folks, I just caught wind that one of my favorite bands Nine Inch Nails is giving away their brand new album for free off of their website!!!
Hurry up and go over there to see if you can score this free download. When I tried to access it, the website informed me that tons of people have been bombarding their site causing the server to crash. So in turn you can download all 4 albums from Amazon MP3 which will automatically add it to your iTunes or Windows Media players.
I do not know how long Ghosts I-IV will be available for only $5 so I would go and get it now if you can! Besides word on the street is that the download off of Amazon is a heck of a lot better than what is being offered off of the artist webpage.
Nine Inch Nails released this album silently on its website last night and has already taken the internet by storm. This is the new wave of music!!! On the footsteps of Radiohead and their release of the latest album online, Nine Inch Nails does it one better by offering the album for FREE!
So yesterday I decided to scope out a movie to rent from iTunes because “Oh my gosh, they actually have a new release that I haven’t seen”. I opted to rent “No Reservations”. Download time was approximately 20 minutes which isn’t bad seeing how that is approximately the same time it would take for me to drive up to the movie store and back. The $3.99 price tag isn’t all that bad seeing how gas prices are through the roof at the moment. Typically I would rent a movie from the grocery store for a dollar, yes and it is a new release but if you factor in gas then it comes out to be about just as much if I rent it from iTunes.
The movie uploaded pretty fast and effortlessly. I opted to watch the movie on my ipod touch so I had to have the movie transfered. For some reason iTunes doesn’t automatically transfer your movie rentals to your portable device you have to give it permission. Fine, iTunes you have my permission. The quality of the movie is great and from the time I hit play I have 24 hours to watch the movie or I have 30 days to decide to push the play button. Once the movie is watched it automatically disappears, money and all, you have nothing to show for it except your memory of seeing the flick. Typically a movie takes up just over a gig of space on your ipod touch/iphone so you have to have at least that much left on your ipod in order to transfer the movie. Luckily I had just a gig left on my 8 gb ipod touch in order to do this. I really don’t know what I will do once my iTunes library becomes extensive.
Overall my review of my first movie rental is pretty good. I probably won’t rent another movie until iTunes decides to get new releases on their actual DVD release but judging from how iTunes movie rentals were a couple months ago, it shouldn’t be that far off.
Has anyone else rented a movie from iTunes? What was your experience like?
According to this article, Starbucks the beloved coffee chain will be closing its doors on February 26, 2008 nationwide in order to retrain its employees. Apparently, Starbucks is getting some wind that their coffee isn’t up to par for $4 a cup. So they are closing every single door and teaching every single employee how to brew that cup of coffee that will make you go broke.
Reported they will be closing the doors in the evening so if you want a caffeine buzz on February 26th, my suggestion would be to double up early in the morning.
